J'ai donc essayé d'acheter de l'alcool (éthanol à 96% ou isopropanol à 99,8%) hier mais il est en rupture de stock / épuisé partout ...

Mais j'avais encore un peu moins de 16 oz alors voici la recette pour 8 oz / 1 tasse de gel hydroalcoolique fait maison / gel désinfectant pour les mains inspiré de la recette de l'Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS)

Ingrédients

Voici les quantités pour obtenir une tasse de solution hydroalcoolique :

• 7.49 fl oz / 15 cuillères à soupe d'alcool (éthanol 96 % ou isopropanol 99,8 %) ;
• 0,38 fl oz / 3 cuillères à café d'eau oxygénée (péroxyde d'hydrogène 3 %) ;
• 0,13 fl oz / 1 cuillère à café de glycérine (glycérol 98 %) ;
• 4 gouttes d'huile d'arbre à thé
• eau distillée ou bouillie pour compléter.

* Remarque: vous pouvez remplacer l'alcool par du Gin ou de la Vodka

** Remarque: vous pouvez remplacer la glycérine par de la glycérine végétale ou du gel d'aloe vera et ajouter des huiles essentielles pour le parfum

Etapes de production :

1/ Verser la quantité d’alcool (éthanol 96 % ou isopropanol 99,8 %) nécessaire à la préparation du produit dans la bouteille, le réservoir ou le récipient servant au mélange.

2/ Ajouter l'eau oxygénée (péroxyde d'hydrogène 3 %).

3/ Ajouter la glycérine (glycérol 98 %).

4/ Ajouter l’eau distillée ou l’eau bouillie refroidie

5/ Ajouter les gouttes d'huile d'arbre à thé

6/ Afin d’éviter toute évaporation, fermer rapidement la bouteille à l’aide du bouchon.

7/ Mélanger la préparation en agitant délicatement le récipient.

8/ Placer la bouteille remplie en quarantaine pendant 72 heures, délai permettant la destruction des spores bactériennes potentiellement présentes dans l’alcool ou dans la bouteille (neuve ou réutilisée).

9/ Étiqueter la bouteille :

L’étiquetage de la bouteille doit être conforme aux réglementations nationales et doit comporter les mentions suivantes :

• Nom de l’établissement,

• Solution hydro-alcoolique recommandée par l’OMS pour l’antisepsie des mains,

• Pour usage externe uniquement,

• Eviter tout contact avec les yeux,

• Maintenir hors de portée des enfants, • Date de fabrication et numéro de lot,

• Mode d’emploi : Remplir la paume d’une main avec la solution et frictionner toutes les surfaces des mains jusqu’à ce que la peau soit sèche.

• Composition : éthanol ou isopropanol, glycérol et peroxyde d’hydrogène.

• Liquide inflammable : tenir éloigné de la chaleur et de toute flamme.

So I try to buy some alcohol (ethanol 96% or isopropanol 99.8%) yesterday but it's are sold out / out of stock everywhere ...

But I still had a little less than 16 oz so here the recipe for 8 oz / 1 cup of homemade hydroalcoholic gel / hand sanitizer gel inspired by the World Health Organization (WHO)'s recipe

Ingredients

Here are the quantities to obtain one cup of hydroalcoholic solution / hand sanitizer:

• 7.49 fl oz / 15 tbsp of alcohol (ethanol 96% or isopropanol 99.8%);*
• 0.38 fl oz / 3 tsp of hydrogen peroxide (3% hydrogen peroxide);
• 0.13 fl oz / 1 tsp of vegetable glycerin
• 4 drops of tea tree oil
• distilled or boiled water to complete.

*Note: you can replace the alcohol with Gin or Vodka 

**Note: you can replace the glycerin with vegetable glycerin or aloe vera gel and add some essential oils for the scent

Production steps:

1 / Pour the amount of alcohol (96% ethanol or 99.8% isopropanol) necessary for the preparation of the product in the bottle.

2 / Add hydrogen peroxide (3% hydrogen peroxide).

3 / Add the vegetable glycerin (glycerol 98%).

4 / Add distilled water or cooled boiled water.

5 / Add 4 drop os tea tree oil.

6  / In order to avoid any evaporation, quickly close the container using the cap.

6 / Mix the preparation by gently shaking the bottle.

7 / Place the filled bottle in quarantine for 72 hours, time allowing the destruction of bacterial spores potentially present in the alcohol or in the bottle (new or reused).

8 / Label the bottle:

The labeling of the bottle must comply with national regulations and must include the following information:

• Facility Name,
• Hydro-alcoholic solution recommended by the WHO for antisepsis of the hands,
• For external use only,
• Avoid contact with the eyes,
• Keep out of reach of children,
• Date of manufacture and batch number,
• Directions for use: Fill the palm of one hand with the solution and rub all the surfaces of the hands until the skin is dry.
• Composition: ethanol or isopropanol, glycerol and hydrogen peroxide.
• Flammable liquid: keep away from heat and any flame.

Coronavirus prevención: ¿Cómo hacer su gel hidroalcohólico gel desinfectante para manos?

Aparentemente están agotados en todas partes ...

Se recomiendan soluciones hidroalcohólicas para eliminar bacterias y virus, especialmente durante epidemias como la gripe o el Covid-19. 

Aquí está la receta para hacer su propia solución hidroalcohólica, pero úsela con precauciones.

En caso de escasez, o simplemente para ahorrar dinero, puedes seguir la receta de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y hacer su propia solución hidroalcohólica. Principalmente destinado a profesionales de farmacia, sin embargo, es bastante simple de aplicar en casa.

Hacer su gel hidroalcohólico: los ingredientes básicos

Aquí están las cantidades para obtener un litro de solución hidroalcohólica:

• 833 ml (28.16 fl oz) de alcohol (etanol al 96% o isopropanol al 99.8%);
• 41,7 ml (1.41 fl oz) de peróxido de hidrógeno (3% de peróxido de hidrógeno);
• 14,5 ml (0.49 fl oz) de glicerina (98% de glicerol);
• agua destilada o hervida para completar.

Nota: puede reemplazar la glicerina con glicerina vegetal gel o aloe vera y agregar algunos aceites esenciales para el aroma

Pasos de producción:

1 / Vierta la cantidad de alcohol (96% de etanol o 99.8% de isopropanol) necesaria para la preparación del producto en la botella, tanque o recipiente utilizado para mezclar.

2 / Añadir peróxido de hidrógeno (3% de peróxido de hidrógeno).

3 / Agregue la glicerina (glicerol 98%).

4 / Agregue agua destilada o agua hervida enfriada.

5 / Para evitar cualquier evaporación, cierre rápidamente el recipiente con la tapa.

6 / Mezcle la preparación agitando suavemente el recipiente.

7 / Coloque la botella llena en cuarentena durante 72 horas, tiempo que permita la destrucción de las esporas bacterianas potencialmente presentes en el alcohol o en la botella (nuevas o reutilizadas).

8 / Etiquetar la botella:

El etiquetado de la botella debe cumplir con las reglamentaciones nacionales y debe incluir la siguiente información:

• Nombre del establecimiento,
• Solución hidroalcohólica recomendada por la OMS para la antisepsia de las manos.
• Solo para uso externo,
• Evitar el contacto con los ojos,
• Mantener fuera del alcance de los niños, 
• Fecha de fabricación y número de lote,
• Instrucciones de uso: llenar la palma de una mano con la solución y frotar todas las superficies de las manos hasta que la piel esté seca.

Coronavirus prevention: How to make your own hydroalcoholic gel / hand sanitizer gel ?

Hydroalcoholic solutions are recommended for eliminating bacteria and viruses, especially during epidemics such as the flu or Covid-19. 

Here is the recipe for making your own hydroalcoholic solution, but use it with some precautions.

In case of shortage, or simply to save money, you can follow the recipe of the World Health Organization (WHO) and make your own hydroalcoholic solution. Primarily intended for pharmacy professionals, it is however quite simple to apply at home.

Making your hydroalcoholic gel: the basic ingredients

Here are the quantities to obtain one liter of hydroalcoholic solution:

• 3.5 cups / 833 ml / 28.16 fl oz of alcohol (ethanol 96% or isopropanol 99.8%);
• 3 tbsp / 41,7 ml / 1.41 fl oz of hydrogen peroxide (3% hydrogen peroxide);
• 1 tbsp / 14,5 ml / 0.49 fl oz of glycerin (98% glycerol)*;
• distilled or boiled water to complete.

*Note: you can replace the glycerin with vegetable glycerin or aloe vera gel and add some essential oils for the scent

Production steps:

1 / Pour the amount of alcohol (96% ethanol or 99.8% isopropanol) necessary for the preparation of the product in the bottle, tank or container used for mixing.

2 / Add hydrogen peroxide (3% hydrogen peroxide).

3 / Add the glycerin (glycerol 98%).

4 / Add distilled water or cooled boiled water

5 / In order to avoid any evaporation, quickly close the container using the cap.

6 / Mix the preparation by gently shaking the container.

7 / Place the filled bottle in quarantine for 72 hours, time allowing the destruction of bacterial spores potentially present in the alcohol or in the bottle (new or reused).

8 / Label the bottle:

The labeling of the bottle must comply with national regulations and must include the following information:

• Facility Name,
• Hydro-alcoholic solution recommended by the WHO for antisepsis of the hands,
• For external use only,
• Avoid contact with the eyes,
• Keep out of reach of children,
• Date of manufacture and batch number,
• Directions for use: Fill the palm of one hand with the solution and rub all the surfaces of the hands until the skin is dry.
• Composition: ethanol or isopropanol, glycerol and hydrogen peroxide.
• Flammable liquid: keep away from heat and any flame.
